The closing ceremony of 75th anniversary of the Academies des Beaux Arts of Kinshasa, in the township of Gombe, on Saturday, December 1st, 2018, was crowned by the exhibition of works of art.
After almost 3 days of celebration, from November 29 to December 1, 2018, the Academie des Beaux Arts in Kinshasa has vibrated to the rhythm of the events and other activities organized on the site.
Indeed, this third and last day was marked by the exhibition of works of arts of all kinds, designed by the students, in the great hall of the institute. However, several works could be seen including, plastic, metal works etc.
The Saint-Luc school was founded in 1943 in Gombe-Matadi, Kongo Central Province by the Belgian missionary Marc Stanislas Wallenda. This school was transferred in 1949 to Leopoldville, current city of Kinshasa, before changing the name to become in 1957, "Academie des Beaux Arts".
