The caucus of the parliamentarians of the province of Ituri welcomed, in a communiqué handed on Thursday to ACP, the measures taken by the President of the Republic, Felix Antoine TshisekediTshilombo, to pacify this part of the DRC prey to the insecurity characterized by killings.

According to the document, the elected officials of this province thank the Head of State for the maintenance of a large number of elements of the Army Forces of the DRC (FARDC) in the territory of Djugu to restore peace.

They also congratulated him on his decision to asphalt the National Highway No. 4 (RN4) and extend the runway at Murongo airport, before inviting the people of this country to bring their support for the Head of State and to stand behind him for the pacification of the region.

The Head of State Félix Antoine TshisekediTshilombo had made a working visit in the province of Ituri, particularly in Djugu and Bunia, capital of the province, to inquire about the situation prevailing in this region.

The Head of State had in his address to the people, promised to put the means and all the necessary strategies to stop the assailants’ phenomenon before reiterating his request to see the communities of Ituri put love in the heart of everything for a peaceful coexistence.
