Aid for victims of natural disasters, this was the key word of this meeting at the office of the Prime Minister. Sylvestre Ilunga decided to send a government delegation to Kisangani following his meeting with the deputies of the province.

These include the floods in Kisangani and the Tshopo territories that have deprived entire families of homes and ravaged the fields, as well as the sinking that plunged the territory of Basoko last Monday.

To these problems are added the deficit in the supply of electricity and drinking water. Only 8 megawatts are produced by the Tshopo hydroelectric plant, for a demand of 40.

Prime Minister Sylvestre Ilunga has agreed with his hosts to organize an emergency relief mission to the disaster populations of Tshopo.
